The Arai Quantic

•Like every Arai helmet, the Quantic was developed primarily to provide the best possible protection. Handcrafted, the outer shell is extremely sturdy, yet significantly lighter in weight. The smooth, rounded shape is characteristic of Arai and was developed primarily to enable “sliding” and thus distribute the forces of impact. The Quantic utilizes the same aerodynamic and protective features as Arai racing helmets, with all the experience and expertise gained from millions of miles on the road. It “slides” cleanly and efficiently through the air and envelops the rider in luxury. It is the new helmet of choice for riders who expect the best performance from a helmet—in terms of protection, comfort, and ease of use, day in and day out—without compromise. To make it easier to put on and take off, the Quantic has a 5 mm wider helmet opening. The VAS MAX Vision visor is equipped with a Pinlock lens. The brushed nylon interior is removable, features the Facial Contour System (FCS), and has a cable pocket in the neck roll. It is also equipped with the Emergency Release System (ERS). The Quantic model is officially approved and certified according to the ECE R22-06 standard.Outer Shell
•Shell Construction: PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction)
The Quantic outer shell design features an elegant, organic shape and uses PB e-cLc for strength at low weight. Side channels have been integrated here for the first time. A new material replaces the AR mat. This makes it possible to reduce weight while maintaining strength. An additional layer of Super Fibre webbing—instead of the Hyper Ridge used in the Profile-V—provides stiffness in a critical area while offering flatter sides for easy intercom installation. The Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor attachment and provides an additional 24 mm in both temple areas to create an ideal, smoother shape that increases energy dissipation. As with the Profile-V, the shell of the Quantic is widened by 5 mm at the helmet opening to make it easier to put on and take off.
•Variable Axis System (VAS)
With VAS, the visor mounting has been moved downwards, resulting in an average of 24 mm of space on both sides of the temples, bringing the helmet even closer to the ideal shape with even better slip resistance. This allows several areas of the shell to be made harder, in line with the test areas of the Snell standard or even beyond.Ventilation
•Quantic Ventilation
The comprehensive and adjustable ventilation system is based on 13 vents: 7 inlet and 6 outlet vents. The 3D Arai logo directs cooling air into two central inlet points and works well at low speeds. In addition, there are two F1-inspired inlet vents at the top, double forehead vents, and a 2-stage ventilation flap in the chin area. Warm air is efficiently expelled via the one-piece 3-way vent in the spoiler, the double vent on the side (with foam insert to reduce noise), and the vent in the neck.
•Two ventilation openings at the top
Originally designed for Arai's F1 helmet, the air intakes are teardrop-shaped, integrating compactly, lightly, and inconspicuously into the round, smooth shell. Open/close by sliding to prevent water ingress.
•3D Arai logo channelThe new 3D Arai logo channel (made as thin as possible, only 3.5 mm high) immediately catches the eye. It ventilates two central 10 mm openings. This is a first for Arai and is only possible thanks to the strength of the PB e-cLc and the shell construction. It works very well at low speeds and in an upright riding position; even at 50 km/h, it provides an additional 40% airflow, and at 120 km/h, 7%. It can also be easily opened or closed with summer or winter gloves using a short lever on the top. If the rider cannot see the lever and the logo is in its normal position, the channel is open. The Arai logo channel is designed to break off in the event of an impact.
•Air-Scoop chin ventilation
Another new feature is the chin ventilation, which can be adjusted to 3 positions (open, center, and closed), allows a greater volume of air to be drawn in, and has a replaceable filter. The flap is slightly thicker, making it easy to operate even when wearing gloves.
•Ventilation above the eyes
Fresh air can be directed to the user's forehead/temple area without having to drill additional holes in the helmet shell.
•Rear ventilation/spoilerThe rear vent is integrated into the spoiler and is operated via a 3-way slider. It is inspired by the DF-X2 of the RX-7V Racing, but has been redesigned for touring use – yet still tested at up to 300 km/h in Suzuka. The spoiler sits slightly further forward on the shell, and the vent is fed by three connections in the shell. As part of the Quantic's comprehensive ventilation system, it not only efficiently draws in air, but the spoiler also smooths the airflow over (and from the side of) the helmet, improving stability and reducing buffeting, especially when overtaking at highway speeds. The result: significantly less driver fatigue. The vent/spoiler combination is designed to be as thin and light as possible so that it crushes or breaks away in the event of an impact, thus having no impact on protective performance.
•Neck vents
To remove warm and stale air from the helmet in a targeted manner. At the same time, this creates increased airflow in the lower helmet area.
•Side vents
Additional side air outlets in the lower part of the helmet remove warm and stale air from the helmet. Integrated into the shell construction, these outlets are aerodynamically optimized. A cleverly positioned layer of special foam on the inside reduces wind noise without compromising ventilation performance.

Visor
•VAS Max Vision Visor
The VAS MAX Vision visor offers better visibility in all weather and riding conditions as standard.
•Visor lock
Adapted from our F1 helmets, the completely modified 3D visor lock reliably ensures that the visor does not open by itself. The visor can be opened intuitively without resistance—with one finger, even when wearing gloves.
•Pinlock lens
Effectively prevents the visor from fogging up. Clear vision, even in adverse weather conditions. Easy to remove for replacement or cleaning.

Interior
•Inner padding with brushed nylon lining
The inner padding of the Profile-V and RX-7V set the standard for the Quantic's interior. It has been designed from the ground up for maximum comfort, airflow (there are two holes in the forehead area), and low weight. The inner and cheek pads can be easily removed for cleaning or adjustment.
•Replaceable inner lining

The entire interior padding can be removed very easily. All parts, whether replaceable or not, can be cleaned thoroughly with lukewarm water and very mild soap. Rinse well with clean water and do not allow the items to dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. All interior parts are available in different sizes and thicknesses to allow for a custom fit for each rider.
•Speaker pockets
Built-in communication systems are popular, but the problem is often that space for speakers is limited or non-existent, resulting in unwanted pressure points. Special speaker pockets allow speakers to be attached without compromising comfort or fit. (Speakers not included).
•Facial Contour System (FCS)
The Facial Contour System (FCS) uses a spring mechanism in the cheek pads to provide a snug fit and greater comfort on the lower jaw without applying too much pressure.
•5 mm removable temple pads
Arai's removable temple pads allow 5 mm of space to be gained inside the helmet if required.

Comfort
•Emergency Release System (ERS)
Allows faster access to an injured rider. Pulling the orange tabs integrated into the pads causes the cheek pads to fall out. This makes it easier for rescue workers to remove the helmet, reducing the risk of further injury.
•AirflowWorks in conjunction with the “dual-pivot®” chin ventilation system. Fresh air is directed straight onto the surface of the visor, while stale air is simultaneously drawn away from there and downwards.
•Chin cover (Fixed)
The chin cover located at the bottom of the helmet further emphasizes the egg shape. It blocks the intrusion of turbulent air currents and increases negative pressure to improve the drainage function of the FFS system by allowing more air to enter the mouth area. The improved airflow reduces noise even further.
•5mm wider helmet opening
The new exclusive outer shell has a 5mm larger helmet opening, which makes it much easier to put on and take off. This change will quickly convince even first-time Arai wearers of the special fit of an Arai helmet.
•Prepared for the installation of intercom systems
The Quantic is designed for easy installation and connection of a communication system on the outside of the shell without compromising the EPS liner.
•Integrated cable pockets
Designed to accommodate excess cable in the neck roll without compromising comfort or protection.

Safety
•ECE 22.06
ECE R22 is the most widely used international helmet standard, required by over 50 countries worldwide. ECE R22-06 requires a much stricter testing procedure than the previous ECE R22-05 and includes an inclination test to measure rotation.
