SP CONNECT TM is a brand of the international group of companies SP United Holding AG. The group of companies includes locations in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, China and the USA.
The Austrian owner and managing director, Thomas Krenn, founded the first company in Birgel, Germany, in 1988 to produce his own snowboard bindings. Today, almost thirty years later, SP Bindings is still on the market and continues to enjoy great popularity.
The core competencies of the German site lie in tool design, toolmaking and injection molding production. As a result, the company has established itself as a supplier to the automotive industry over the last two decades.
Since 2002, the products of the own brands SP CONNECTTM, SP Bindings and the brand for actioncam accessories, SP Gadgets, have been produced in a new plant in China. From there, they are distributed to distributors in 70 countries on 5 continents.

The company headquarters have been located in Vienna since the mid-1990s. Sales, product development, design, technology, marketing and international sourcing for all SP brands are united here.
After extensive research and development, SP CONNECTTM, the world's most variable smartphone mounting system, was launched in 2016.
